There was resounding joy in the hearts of the members of Owa-Alero Community, Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State, as an illustrious son of the soil, Chief Victor Amos visited the four Primary Schools in the community to pay the Enrollment Fees of all primary six pupils of the schools.
The primary schools include; Egwe Primary School, Iroro Primary School, Eghoma Primary School and Omi Primary School respectively. The enrollment fee for each pupil is Seven Thousand Naira, (7, 000).
The total number of the pupils at Egwe primary six who benefitted the free enrollment fees from Chief Victor Amos is Forty-Five, (45), Iroro Primary School is Twenty-Five, (25), Eghoma Primary School is Thirty-Five, (35) while at Omi Primary School they have a total number of Seventy-Five, (75).
Speaking shortly after receiving the cash gifts on behalf of the pupils, the Head Teacher, Egwe primary School, Mr. Monday Uwabor, thanked Chief Victor Amos for always coming to pay the children’s enrollment fees every year.
He prayed God to continue to bless him and his entire family with all their heart desires. He urged other sons and daughters of Owa-Alero Community and Ika land in general to emulate the kind gesture of Chief Victor Amos by demonstrating the same thing he has been doing for the children and entire people of Owa-Alero Community.Mrs. Yemi Sarah Obuh, Head Teacher of Iroro Primary School also appreciated the good works Chief Victor Amos is doing in her school. She noted that she was not surprised that Chief Victor Amos is spending millions of Naira on the pupils, saying because he has been helping people since she knew him, even when she was at Egwe primary School as Head Teacher, he also came to clear the enrollment fees of the children.
She therefore wished him long life and more prosperity as he looks forward to putting smiles on the children’s faces.Eghoma Primary School’s Head Teacher, Mrs. Christi Afor Atube and the Head Teacher of Omi Primary School, Mrs. Ndidi Onyeacholem, on their own parts, gave kudos to Chief Victor Amos for always putting smiles on the faces of the staff and pupils of their schools. They prayed God to reward him with all the heavenly blessings to enable him do more.
Also speaking, the Secretary General, Egwe Community, Comr. Billy Ewere Lawson, described Chief Victor Amos as a man of the people and a true son of the soil. He noted that Chief Victor Amos has been of great assistance to the pupils, to the Owa-Alero Community and to everyone who comes close to him. He encouraged all well to do individuals to learn from Chief Victor Amos so that those around them can be happy.
Speaking with Ika Weekly Newspaper Reporter shortly after the event, the philanthropist, Chief Victor Amos stated that his primary aim of coming to pay the children’s enrollment and sometimes school fees is his love for education and to encourage them to study their books.
He thanked the staff of the various primary schools for their good works and encouraged them to continue to do more. He advised the pupils to always study their books and forget about keeping bad friends, as that is the only way they can become meaningful to themselves and to the entire society.
Continuing, he stated that by the special grace of God, he will make sure that the pupils continue to benefit from him every year. He appreciated all those accomplished him to the journey and prayed God to bless them. Dr. Nwajei Liberty, Ph.D. Department of Business Administration, University of Delta, Agbor, Comr. Billy Ewere Lawson, Mr. Kenneth Omoroje, Mr. Edward Henry, Mr. Ifeanyi Isaac, Youth Chairman, Egwe Community, Mr. Mathew Obikeze and others were the youths who accomplished Chief Victor Amos to the journey to primary schools for the cash donations.
