A widower in his 40s, Mr. James Onwubuoya from Abavo in Ika South Local Government Area, has allegedly taken his life through the taking in of poisoned substance.

The late widower is the husband of the late Mrs. Imade Gladys Onwubuya, a chorister with Living Messiah Church Boji-Boji Owa, who slumped and died during Sunday Ministration in March 17, 2024. Meanwhile, when Ika Weekly visited his residence in Agbor, nobody could tell what actually led to his death, however it is alleged that he dropped a written note on why he was pressured to take his life.
It was gathered that the late Onwubuoya took his life over his inability to maintain his lifestyle due to frustration and hardship. It was also alleged that he could not account for the building projects he was asked to build by his relatives abroad on their behalf.
